in Myerstown since 1957. Two years ago, Anna Mae and Gary Gettler of
Myerstown purchased the business and added their own style and flair to the
store.
The Gettlers have rejuvenated the business by adding contemporary and
traditional jewelry. This past year the owners added new lines, including
Kaspar & Esh colored diamonds, the popular Chamilia personalized bracelets
and the affordable Hot Diamonds collection of sterling silver and diamond
pieces. In 2005, Main Street Jewelry & Gifts became the area¹s exclusive
retailer of Color Craft¹s StoryWheels, necklaces that tell a life¹s story.
In conjunction with jewelry sales, the store¹s gift and novelty business
grew in 2005. Main Street Jewelry expanded its line of Bright & Beautiful
leather purses and accessories and added new lines such as Phat Phan silk
purses, Shoewelry boxes and Bootie Bags, one-of-a-kind purses made from blue jeans.
Main Street Jewelry & Gifts also offers jewelry repair service. Nicholas
Taraschi, the Gettler¹s son-in-law, is a registered goldsmith providing
customers with expert jewelry repair and design.
The owners and staff at Main Street Jewelry & Gifts emphasize a friendly and
